Post subject:  Updating GetLinked Software
How do I update my GetLinked software? When I click on the Online Updates in the Help menu it just brings me to the download section of the website and the only option I see is to download the full installer with no version information available. Is this how one updates? How do I know if there is a new version for me to update to?

GETLinked Software is downloaded from our website https://www.getlinked.co/support.
  • * The installer includes the full GETLinked Software setup as well as the latest updates.
    * Updates affect ONLY the GETLinked Software program.
    * YOUR CURRENT GETLINKED SOFTWARE DATA WILL BE MIGRATED TO THE LATEST VERSION ON FIRST LAUNCH.

    After you install the latest version of GETLinked Software and run the program you may receive a couple of messages similar to:
    "WARNINGS: Your 'SETUP' data needs to be updated."
    and/or
    "WARNINGS: Your 'TRANSACTION' data needs to be updated."

    "BACKUP YOUR GETLINKED SOFTWARE DATA BEFORE PROCEEDING!
    Your data will be updated to the latest version.
    This update could take a while based on the amount of data.
    Once you start this update, do NOT stop the process or you will damage your data and program!
    Do you want to proceed?"

    To find out what version of GETLinked Software you are running:
    1. Click Help > About GETLinked...
    2. Your version number is located in the bottom right hand corner of the window.
We have added the date of the latest software version on our download page so you can compare this date to your current GETLinked Software version.

Thanks for the information. I have downloaded the latest installer that your site says was updated on April 11, 2014. When I try to install it, it says that the old version must be uninstalled. Will this remove my settings and definitions? I do not want to have to setup all of my definitions, accounts and links again.
