| Jim, I believe that you are linking Micros 3700 (POS) to QuickBooks desktop edition so I'll focus on those two specific systems. On the micros system you will need to setup the data export scripts found on the Support Site. Listed as Micros 3700 Scripts & Micros 3700 Script Instructions under Downloads. The data export files need to be copied from the micros server to your QuickBooks computer (where the GETLinked Software will be installed). A common way customers copy the data between the micros and QuickBooks computers is a free program called "Dropbox". You can read more about it here Data Polling Overview. Once you have the data files on the QuickBooks computer you are ready to install the GETLinked software (It should also be installed on the QuickBooks computer). You can download the software from the main support site here. Finally QuickBooks requires a driver to allow GETLinked to connect to your company file. That driver can be downloaded here Once all of that is installed you can follow the setup instructions from the support site here. If you break it down into small steps it's a pretty manageable process. There are many other similar programs such as SugarSync , ShareFile, Syncplicity, Qbox and more. Thank you for the post.
